Welcome to the Boggart Wood, where all are welcome…
… but especially if you’ve brought cake, cookies or a nice bottle of spiced rum!
So leave your axes to grind at the door (I’m sure a nice little Brownie may buff it up for you), pull up a comfy chair at the fire and settle in for tales of ghosts, goblins, treasure and dark deeds… Within the Boggart Wood is a slow meander through the north of England and the Scottish Borders (with forays further afield), collating the regions’ wealth of folklore, ghostlore, superstitions, local history and archaeology.
The Boggart, also known to his friends and enemies alike as Tony Liddell – is an archaeologist based in County Durham (north east England) with a keen interest in not seeing our tales and traditions vanish as the world becomes a bleaker and darker place.

… to help support me in my Boggartish endeavours!

The fairy people, it is true, now only linger in childish tradition; but ghosts are still not uncommon…“
